What do you stand for? 2. What is most important to you? Professionally: 1. What do you stand for? 2. What are you not willing to do? Quality leaders don't change their values over time or to achieve short-term success. Consistent core organizational value systems form the strong foundation for long-term success. A simple definition is that your values are the rules by which you play the game. A well-defined value system makes all decisions easier and encourages your team to go where you lead. The issue that I continue to see and find in those so called leaders who hold high paying positions is that they have been jaded for so long that they do not have these simple answers-yes they suck and unfortunately sometimes I am the one to let them know just how bad. #leadership#evanstyle#disruptors#inspiration
Hello everyone and how are we doing on this beautiful Saturday morning and I do mean beautiful. I am looking out my window facing trees and they just seem so green this morning and it is just beautiful. I was thinking where I was twenty years ago and to be honest I have no idea well maybe I do but that would be a hell of a story to tell someday.
Let us start with a simple question for all you business people out there.
Do you know what is that you want your business to accomplish?
What do I mean by this well let me start by saying that if I was to stop by your business and ask this very same question; How would you answer it?
Notice that I did not ask what you wanted to accomplish. I asked regarding your business. I can give you the answer but hey my friends let us make it very interesting OK. I would like you guys who read my posting to either post it on Facebook or on Linked in or simply tweet me or email me hell you can call me!!
Is it money we are all looking for or is it peace of mind or perhaps having a great relationship with others!!
You see we always face obstacles mmmm!!! are thy obstacles or are they the excuses we make to make us feel better about ourselves and the choices we make and then justify again and again with excuses.
We will face adversity whether in our private lives or at work. Let me tell about adversity my friends,you can learn an awful lot from adversity.
Your real courage shows best in the hour of adversity.
Some setbacks are so severe that to give in to them means losing the
whole ball game. When he assumed command of the Korean War, Gen. Matthew
Ridgeway found his forces pushed far to the south, hard pressed by the
invaders. Only a determined decision to hold the lines allowed the
American forces to keep from being swept into the sea and to eventually
regain all the territory they had lost.
When a defeat strikes, you may
not have the time to withdraw and contemplate your mistakes without
risking further setbacks. Don’t succumb to paralysis. It is important to
know at that moment what it is you truly desire and to act to preserve
your resources and your hope. If you crumble utterly, you will take a
blow to your self-esteem that will be hard to repair. Instead, stick to
your principles, and you will know, at the very least, that you have
protected the most important thing you have. Your successes in life will
far outnumber your failures.
Speaking to incarcerated youth.
How about when you find someone say your superior at a job or a company or someone who you think is your friend. You need to be able to read the false lines they feed you before you start to believe the lies.
Napoleon Hill says this:
Don’t be fooled by people who attempt to further their own interests
under the guise of helping you. Listen to advice from others, thank them
for their interest, and make up your own mind about what is best.
Follow their advice if it fits with your plan for your life, but don’t
hesitate to discard it if it doesn’t. In all the world, there is only
one individual who knows what is best for you, and that person is you.
When you read stories and see the reality of the world from a different perspective then you begin to see the potential of something new and this is when you go after your dreams.
The trick to all of this is a different mind set. We need to have clarity and specificity of what it is we want in our lives.

Good morning my friends and here is a question for you.
What does it take to open up your mind to a world of opportunity and to be able to see the world in a whole new way or perspective?
I have pondered on this question for a while now. It has been a while since I have blogged and to be honest with you it was because I had been really thinking about what this world has to offer to all of us if we really choose to live our dreams the way we should but never really understand.
It has been true that many have stated myself included to simply just go after your dreams and yes that still stands to be true.
You see though now we need to take action and many times we think we are taking action but in reality we are still waiting for the perfect time to act on our dreams and well we are going to talk about doing and not just thinking.
You see in our minds we believe that we are always doing the right thing to move our lives ahead but yet we go no where:Why is that? That is a great question do you not think so?
A question and followed up with another question and that is because we all go in circles asking ourselves the same question over and over which is WHY this and WHY that. The answer is simple that we never take action and we need to do is simply follow our dreams and really make a plan to take action that is it that is the secret.
In business and I find this to be really distrubing because most owners really believe that there is no one else that can do what they do as well as they do it and well it annoys the hell out of me because when someone believes that they are the only one; What happens? Well you know (You Loose) All businesses start well level off and then die off or close doors not because they had no business but because owners believe that they are the only ones that can do the job right.
In all reality one has to be able to see that sometimes we need help or guideance in the right direction and that is where a coach comes in either for individual training or staff and entire company training.
When we aren't getting results, it's easy to find excuses. The problem is that everyone can justify their behavior (or lack thereof), but until we take responsibility for our results, we will not move ahead.

This will be a short blog only because I have to help cooking in a few minutes. Remember that in life there will always be obstacles to overcome and challenges that need to be dealt with. Life is not an easy ride it will be a bumpy one but we can make easier simply by being thankful each and everyday that we breath.
Well here we are again on A Saturday and what a day it has been so far let us see. One of our car's engine blew up so yes we need to either put in a new engine or buy a new one MMM. My other car starting leaking oil like crazy so we need to repair that once we figure out where the leak is from or buy a new one. That has been my morning .
You see I am just like everyone out there when it rains it pours. What I have done so far. I woke up looked outside and walked around and took a big breath of the fresh and cool air and filled my lungs and said thank you for another beautiful day of life. You see life is what you make of it and how you look at each situation.
I have no idea who wrote this but they have my credit. I say this because at one time I used something that someone sent me and they tried to get me to pay them like a hundred dollars and I said really so I removed it and well I have never seen that anywhere else again.
People are greedy by nature I suppose but I ask the question WHY?? For those that feel philisophical please find me on facebook and leave me your comments.
Life is life and will always continue to move forward with the exception when it stops and when id does people say there is still somewhere to go and that may be the case however I have never experienced that but I have heard so I will leave it at that simply because I believe there might be something to that huh.
When I do a seminar on life I get asked so many questions and sometimes I do not have the answers and as silly as they might sound neither does anyone else, but being human beings we hope that there is always an answer and I am positive that there is however sometimes we have keep on searching for it. If life was that simple and when we want an answer it would just pop up well life would be boring!! That is my opinion of course.
When I do a seminar in business again I get asked so many questions as if to say well you have the silver bullet for my unfortunate demise of my business or you have the naswer to the why I have been looking for!!.
I smile and I say to them well no! I do not have the silver bulet nor do I have any miracles for you but what I do have is some sound advice on perhaps could turn your business around depending where you are now and how you put it into use.
Clients are strange specially if they are looking for the answer to their needs and that is why it is so important to do your diligent research in your market or services.
If you have a service and you believe you have the best service and yet you have three others like you in the neighborhood that believe the same thing then what do you do?
I do not about you but I would for sure go visit them and see what they offer that makes their customers leep coming back MMMM you see we all have something special to offer the world the trick is how well do we offer it that is it.
Just who's in charge of your life right now? Take
a look at your calendar today, and you might notice a few too many
upcoming events that you aren't really looking forward to. If you've
been pressured into doing something you don't want to do, then it's time
to start flexing your muscles.
Initiate plans of your own, and start
making sure that the things you do are the things you want to do! You
cannot be everything to everyone, so fulfill your current commitments
and then commit to yourself.
Step 1) Take a short walk around the block not only is this a healthy way for the heart but you can breath fresh air.
Step 2) Go to the park and enjoy the plants and flowers that you may encounter on the way.
Step 3) Take sometime to enjoy your significant other and your children if you have any. These are just a few to start your new day and perhaps a new perspective if you decide to take on these steps and turn them into daily habits or at least use them on weekends.

Lets talk about what it means to reach a goal that you have always wanted to accomplish but have been unable to do so and why have you not been able to do so. You see sometimes we have those voice sin the back of your minds that we keep on hearing and the worse part is that we sometimes let those voice take over our minds and we listen to them.
We need to take control of those voices because they will take over if you allow them to do so. I always say that if you listen to them and not able to control those ugly monsters then you will suffer as an individual.

In business it is almost the same. As owners we do not take over our thoughts and we are unsure of the next move that we need to make and we do not make it because we listen to the voices of fear. I call them the voices of fear because when you listen to them they will take over and you will make mistakes.
How do you turn your fears in something that you can use to your advantage and give your customers what they want. You can start by looking at the fear for what it really is nothing more than an obstacle that can perhaps you can change direction and go around it and start looking at it as more of a directional object and use it,
Find your strengths. As a small business owner, find out what you really enjoy as it relates to your dreams and goals.When you figure this out for your business you will find that it will not only help you the owner but your staff and your customers will keep coming back to you.
