How to Enjoy the Holidays With Your Relatives

 

Hello my friends, as you know if we are honest with each other we all have those family members we really do not like being around for one reason or another. I hope this helps all of us. These few tips for the holidays. Let me know what you think in the comments area.
Here are five simple things that will make the next holiday party enjoyable for everyone.
1) Leave Home Without It
Unless you visit like-minded people, leave your private cause at home. Cover the tattoo, remove the nose ring, take out the tongue stud. Similarly, avoid editorials, lectures, and sermons. Remember: it’s a holiday party. No one comes to be offended.
2) Make Them Special
Let others talk. Be impressed (or at least interested) with what they say. Ask questions to encourage telling more. Find something to praise. Give your complete attention while listening. Appreciation is a gift that lasts a lifetime.
3) Detach
Let others be themselves. Accept what people say, regardless how outrageous. Avoid correcting, criticizing, or complaining. Ignore bait that lures you into arguments. Avoid taking things personally. Just say, “Ah, how interesting,” and move on.
4) Talk Friendly
Offer compliments. Be positive. Be gracious. Be mature. Find diplomatic ways to express your ideas. Avoid negative words, especially “not,” because negative ideas trigger a defensive response. Be a source of solutions instead of complications.
5) Behave
Avoid trick questions (“What kind of idiot would do this?”). Avoid punitive stories that contain hidden insults. Avoid baiting people into arguments. Spend time with people who enjoy your ideas. LETS MAKE SOME NOISE

 

Hello my friends, would it not be great if a measure that eliminates qualified immunity was done away with for state and government agencies and their so called leadership styles.

What would change?
Do you believe that better leadership would be put in place and changes would be made?
Do you think the manipulation and the bullying would stop?
Do you believe people in general would be treated better including staff? Do you believe the dictators would be removed? (-maybe) In the United States, qualified immunity is a legal principle that grants government officials performing discretionary functions immunity from civil suits unless the plaintiff shows that the official violated "clearly established statutory or constitutional rights of which a reasonable person would have known". Because of all the vague policies, this leaves plenty of loopholes to hide behind the policy when a high official screws up!! I know many will disagree with this but think about it guys how much of our current leadership would change? Personal leadership also means “accountability”

 

We all know good frontline leadership builds both morale and profitability. What happens when you hire someone to fill a position with no experience? Maybe that’s because companies think they’re saving money by not investing in front line leader training or it is someone they know that can be manipulated to use to their advantage. Whatever the reason, why not spend your money on leadership training and development down in the trenches, where it will really do some good? Oh that makes too much sense for some leaders because they should have learned how to be leaders in the first place. There’s the opportunity cost of lost leadership. Finally, there’s the cost of lawsuits. Good frontline leadership creates organizations where lawsuits are less likely. These skills may be tough to acquire, so the switchover to the status of leadership can be very demanding and at times unthinkable in the absence of effective guidance and help. Personal leadership also means “accountability”. It means that you have decided to use the talents that are unique to you and will develop them further to reach your goals. Forgiveness

 

One of the most debated subjects around the world is forgiveness. Somebody does something wrong, either against an individual, or against the society. To forgive means to pardon the accused with no resentment left. If forgiveness is complete, the act of offense is totally forgotten, as if it never took place. One of the reasons we ignore and find it difficult to forgive others is because of the pain they may have caused you or your family or both. Example: the so called leader who hurt you and your family by taking money from your salary because they are completely incompetent in regards to building relationships with others and were called out! why? {Politics my friends} Are we doomed to live in misery forever unless we forgive. But we cannot forgive. We know that many people will come and ask us to forgive. What if they underwent something similar? Will they forgive? There other horrible examples I could use in regards to. My research on forgiveness is not in depth but mostly from interviews with both sufferers and the people responsible for the deeds. What I can say is that to forgive someone for hurting you or someone you love is very hard pill to swallow for anyone. Please leave your thoughts below in comments. INFLUENCER

Hello everyone, I do appreciate the warm thoughts and great comments sent to me privately. So people ask me to become an influencer on linked in and so I ask how do I do that. I speak on leadership and many other subjects but focused on leadership. I am always transparent and always stand for what is right for you, me and anyone who is treated wrong. I do disrupt others and their BS and sometimes what they lie they stand for. Leadership, true leadership is about building relationships with that homeless man standing at the corner market or that billionaire you had no idea was a billionaire. Relationships of all kinds are often perceived as very delicate things, that require extra effort to maintain. However, a relationship can also be something that can provide security and can also be long lasting despite many trials. Building an effective and lasting relationships is a necessity for several reasons. For example in a group or organization, the well being of the people depends on how efficient and effective that group or organization works.

Hardest styles or behaviors

 

What happens when a longtime person in a high position gets asked to resign due to their poor leadership. Then a new one gets in and is afraid to talk to you because others already created a persona of you. They have been told that you do not care for BS. One should never use the word leadership in vain ( LOL). What would you suggest to my friend? Please do not feel afraid to say whatever you would like to suggest. Leadership is a great word that follows a great leader who actually leads and stands up and speaks up when something is wrong. Gotta do what's right when it is time to do so and not be afraid! I love leadership been studying it for over 30 years now, and it all comes down to building relationships with others and respecting others and showing empathy along the way. viors to implement in any organization be for profit or non-profit. Everyone's has heard of these words and their meanings but few can actually implement them. Creativity and innovation needs to be allowed

 

Hello my friends. I post regarding empathy and I am just surprised on the comments and shows me just how people in general have no idea what empathy really means and or how to show it to others and that is ok my friends because I love all people haters included. As a creator and innovator and yes always challenging the status quo and disrupting those who hate or afraid of change due to their cushy position they hold in companies and might just might bring out their true colors. This is where creativity and innovation needs to be allowed to bring about change and new outlooks for any company and peoples lives! innovation is when a company creates or discovers a unique way of promoting their products, not necessarily through an entirely new channel or medium, but certainly different nonetheless. In general, there is one path every innovator takes, and it all starts with skepticism, a natural reaction when entering the unknown. Soon after skepticism follows enthusiasm because with focused effort you start to see the potential of your new strategy. EMPOWERMENT REALLY!!

 

We all talk about innovation, creativity and empowerment. Why now? Why not before the pandemic. The people in leadership roles should have been doing this way before the pandemic. They have known how important this is for not just the organization but for the people they should have been leading and not monitoring each step of the way. The main reason why they did not do this is because people in these positions care about one thing and one thing only which is themselves. A true leader understands that in order to have creativity, innovation and actual empowerment is to acknowledge the talent around and feel comfortable giving up some power away to these individuals to allow them to be themselves and create, innovate and feel comfortable coming to their leader with questions and failures and advice. When I ask people why they do not pitch ideas-the response is because I can't no one listens or I do not want to get black -balled or fired. Do you notice anything interesting about those responses? They all revolve around the word “can’t”. The word can’t is disempowering… it’s pretty reasonable to assume if your thought processes around your job involve the word can’t, that you would feel “stuck”, because according to you, you can’t do anything about it. #leadership #evanstyle

Being who you are and love

 Thank you to all who support and follow me on this truly a wonderful journey regarding leadership. Leadership is all about being yourself and demonstrating personal authenticity. True leadership is therefore much more than a demonstration of strengths. Real leaders acknowledge their shortcomings and may even make them work for them.

Good leaders always rely on their ability to read situations. They develop a feel for an environment, and interpret soft data without having to be told. They know when team morale is patchy or when complacency needs shaking up.  

Effective leaders use their differences and move on to distinguish themselves through personal qualities such as sincerity, loyalty, creativity, or sheer expertise. Using these differences is a critical leadership skill. I always say, there is a danger – too much distance makes it impossible to sense situations properly or to communicate effectively.

 Genuine concern is difficult because it always involves some personal risk showing some part of yourself and your most strongly held values can seem quite scary. It may also take some detachment the ability to stand back, see the whole picture and sometimes take tough decisions. Quality leaders don't change their values over time or to achieve short-term success. Consistent core organizational value systems form the strong foundation for long-term success.
A simple definition is that your values are the rules by which you play the game. A well-defined value system makes all decisions easier and encourages your team to go where you lead. The issue that I continue to see and find in those so called leaders who hold high paying positions is that they have been jaded for so long that they do not have these simple answers-yes they suck and unfortunately sometimes I am the one to let them know just how bad. #leadership #evanstyle #disruptors #inspiration

Inspire yourself and others

 When was the last time someone made your day – or you made theirs? Being inspired is about changing awareness of yourself as being limited, having no luck, things never working out, etc. into realizing that you are unlimited and have the potential to create whatever you truly desire if it is in alignment with the divine within. Whatever the mind of man can conceive, the mind of mind man can create. You are a perfect creation of the Divine. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot create. Have a knowing that you can create and attract to yourself anything you need to create your desires. `When you are inspired, you discover yourself to be a greater person than you ever imagined.
