Embracing Boldness: Defending Your Mental Well-being Amidst Adversity

In a world often marked by challenges and setbacks, summoning the courage to stand firm against the tide of mental anguish is an act of immense bravery. Whether the source of distress emanates from within the confines of our homes, the circles of our friends, or the corridors of our workplaces, the wounds inflicted by adverse environments can penetrate deep into our psyche, leaving scars that linger long after the pain has subsided. Yet, in the face of such trials, there exists a potent remedy: boldness. Boldness, within this context, transcends mere bravery; it embodies an unwavering commitment to safeguarding one's mental and spiritual sanctity from the deleterious effects of toxic relationships and surroundings. It signifies the acknowledgment of one's threshold for suffering and the refusal to remain passive in the presence of those who seek to inflict harm. Within the familial realm, mental anguish often finds its genesis in strained relationships or environments teeming with emotional manipulation. Whether it manifests as parental disapproval or sibling rivalry, the toll exacted by such toxic dynamics can be profoundly debilitating. However, exercising boldness in this arena entails the establishment of firm boundaries, even if it entails navigating conflict. It necessitates the fortitude to assert one's value and demand reverence, even when the perpetrators are those closest to us. Among friends, the sting of emotional distress may arise from gossip, betrayal, or subtle acts of hostility. It is easy to feel powerless amidst such social intricacies, yet boldness empowers us to confront these adversities head-on. It compels us to vocalize our dissent in the face of injustice, whether it targets us directly or others within our social sphere. It encourages us to prioritize authenticity over conformity and cultivate relationships that nurture and uplift rather than diminish and drain. In the professional arena, the pressure to conform to toxic norms or placate overbearing superiors can erode our mental well-being. Nonetheless, exhibiting boldness in this realm necessitates a refusal to compromise one's integrity for the sake of appeasement. It involves advocating for our needs and welfare, even at the risk of professional repercussions. It demands the recognition of our inherent value and the rejection of mistreatment or exploitation. However, perhaps the most pivotal aspect of embodying boldness lies in recognizing when it is time to disengage. It involves prioritizing our mental and emotional health above all else and summoning the courage to sever ties with those who perpetually undermine our joy and self-worth. In essence, embracing boldness amidst mental distress signifies a reclamation of power and agency in circumstances where we may have previously felt powerless. It entails refusing to be a passive casualty of our own suffering and actively pursuing avenues to shield our minds and spirits from those intent on inflicting harm. So, if you find yourself ensnared in a labyrinth of negativity and anguish, remember that you possess the capacity to break free. Embrace boldness as your armor against the adversities of life and never forget that you are deserving of love, respect, and fulfillment.

Is it because these organizations are afraid to lose control over their employees?

The more I read regarding DEI and incompetent leaders, the more I understand why most issues continue within large government entities and their hierarchical structures in large organizations are still prevalent today, but why? Is it because these organizations are afraid to lose control over their employees? To answer this question, it is important to look at the history of hierarchical structures in organizations.

The concept of hierarchical structures in organizations dates back to the industrial revolution, when large companies hired hundreds of workers.  It was necessary to have a clear chain of command in order to ensure that tasks were completed efficiently and effectively. As organizations grew in size, the need for a hierarchical structure became even more important. It allowed for better communication between different levels of the organization, as well as providing a clear path of authority.

Unfortunately, this hierarchical structure has also been used to oppress certain groups of people. For example, there is very little data available regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in organizations. This lack of data has allowed organizations to maintain their hierarchical structures without having to address issues of inequality. It is time for people to wake up to this issue and stand up and demand change. Organizations should be held accountable for their lack of DEI initiatives, and the data should be made available to the public, but of course it is not. Only then can we have a more inclusive workplace. #data #people #communication #diversity #inclusion #change #leaders   #whysosecret

What does peace and love around the globe look like to our future?

What does peace and love around the globe look like to our future?

Peace and love around the globe is a vision of a world where people of all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs come together in mutual understanding and respect. It is a world where everyone can live in harmony and prosperity, free from fear, violence, and oppression. We can see this future in our minds, and it is a beautiful thing.

Unfortunately, the world is not in a peaceful and loving state right now. There are many conflicts, wars, and injustices occurring around the world. This is lack of understanding and respect for others, as well as a lack of strong leadership. Leaders must put aside their own interests and focus on the greater good of humanity.

Attitude towards negativity is a key component of the Evan Leadership Style. A leader can stay positive and optimistic in the face of adversity, scan motivate their followers and keep them focused on the goal. They  create an atmosphere of positivity and enthusiasm, which can help to foster a productive and successful team.

Nourishment of the mind is also an important part of the Evan Leadership Style. A leader who can provide their followers with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed can create an environment of learning and growth. They encourage their followers to think critically and develop their own ideas, which can help to create innovative solutions to problems.

How to Enjoy the Holidays With Your Relatives

Hello my friends, as you know if we are honest with each other we all have those family members we really do not like being around for one reason or another. I hope this helps all of us. These few tips for the holidays. Let me know what you think in the comments area.
Here are five simple things that will make the next holiday party enjoyable for everyone.
1) Leave Home Without It
Unless you visit like-minded people, leave your private cause at home. Cover the tattoo, remove the nose ring, take out the tongue stud. Similarly, avoid editorials, lectures, and sermons. Remember: it’s a holiday party. No one comes to be offended.
2) Make Them Special
Let others talk. Be impressed (or at least interested) with what they say. Ask questions to encourage telling more. Find something to praise. Give your complete attention while listening. Appreciation is a gift that lasts a lifetime.
3) Detach
Let others be themselves. Accept what people say, regardless how outrageous. Avoid correcting, criticizing, or complaining. Ignore bait that lures you into arguments. Avoid taking things personally. Just say, “Ah, how interesting,” and move on.
4) Talk Friendly
Offer compliments. Be positive. Be gracious. Be mature. Find diplomatic ways to express your ideas. Avoid negative words, especially “not,” because negative ideas trigger a defensive response. Be a source of solutions instead of complications.
5) Behave
Avoid trick questions (“What kind of idiot would do this?”). Avoid punitive stories that contain hidden insults. Avoid baiting people into arguments. Spend time with people who enjoy your ideas. Realize it is always a bad idea to start an argument. #people #like #familymembers #friendships #bestrong #love #evanstyle

EMPOWERMENT REALLY!!

We all talk about innovation, creativity and empowerment. Why now? Why not before the pandemic. The people in leadership roles should have been doing this way before the pandemic. They have known how important this is for not just the organization but for the people they should have been leading and not monitoring each step of the way. The main reason why they did not do this is because people in these positions care about one thing and one thing only which is themselves. A true leader understands that in order to have creativity, innovation and actual empowerment is to acknowledge the talent around and feel comfortable giving up some power away to these individuals to allow them to be themselves and create, innovate and feel comfortable coming to their leader with questions and failures and advice. When I ask people why they do not pitch ideas-the response is because I can't no one listens or I do not want to get black -balled or fired. Do you notice anything interesting about those responses? They all revolve around the word “can’t”. The word can’t is disempowering… it’s pretty reasonable to assume if your thought processes around your job involve the word can’t, that you would feel “stuck”, because according to you, you can’t do anything about it. #leadership #evanstyle

Being who you are and love

Thank you to all who support and follow me on this truly a wonderful journey regarding leadership. Leadership is all about being yourself and demonstrating personal authenticity. True leadership is therefore much more than a demonstration of strengths. Real leaders acknowledge their shortcomings and may even make them work for them.

Good leaders always rely on their ability to read situations. They develop a feel for an environment, and interpret soft data without having to be told. They know when team morale is patchy or when complacency needs shaking up.

Effective leaders use their differences and move on to distinguish themselves through personal qualities such as sincerity, loyalty, creativity, or sheer expertise. Using these differences is a critical leadership skill. I always say, there is a danger – too much distance makes it impossible to sense situations properly or to communicate effectively.

Genuine concern is difficult because it always involves some personal risk showing some part of yourself and your most strongly held values can seem quite scary. It may also take some detachment the ability to stand back, see the whole picture and sometimes take tough decisions. Leadership never was a popularity contest.

Inspire yourself and others

When was the last time someone made your day – or you made theirs? Being inspired is about changing awareness of yourself as being limited, having no luck, things never working out, etc. into realizing that you are unlimited and have the potential to create whatever you truly desire if it is in alignment with the divine within. Whatever the mind of man can conceive, the mind of mind man can create. You are a perfect creation of the Divine. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot create. Have a knowing that you can create and attract to yourself anything you need to create your desires. `When you are inspired, you discover yourself to be a greater person than you ever imagined. Realize that your thoughts are energy. It’s all about what kind of thoughts and feelings we offer up to achieve our desires which are aligned with Spirit. #inspiration #leadership #evanstyle

“People don’t quit bad jobs, they quit bad bosses,”

People don’t quit bad jobs, they quit bad bosses,” according to an old saw. My research suggests there’s the truth behind this saying: bosses do matter in employee job satisfaction. But what makes someone a great boss?
Research shows that in both agencies non-profit and for-profit organizations
as well there are very few real leaders. What I found is the following.
It is not a matter of skill or just how good a person is as a leader
instead, you find that the people in leadership positions are doing nothing other than defending policies and procedures and not defending their hard-working people they should be leading and this is for their specific agenda and for their bosses above them and that shows how they received their promotions and that is how they win.
You see my friends and future leaders let me ask you a question. How many
times have you heard" that is just our policy" from a client or a staff member and you respond well I m so sorry but I cannot change it. Why not just say the truth? I get paid to do a job and so I leave my brains outside the door and pick them up when I leave the office at 5:00 pm.
To hear the honest truth would be great right but do you hear the truth?
In my next post, I will write about what happens when you do use your brain's OOOOOHHHH?

Good leaders and what they do?

Good leaders and what they do?

Good leaders know when and how to stay calm during a crisis. They know their people and how to manage their knowledge.

A great leader knows and has a great understanding of compartmentalizing and also realizes to bring that together with his staff in a way that everyone understands the goal.

What does this look like one might ask well here it is my friends. It looks like this if and only if there is a crisis like today, the leader you are following would compartmentalize the issue and focus on their staff or followers and allow them to speak their minds and listen to them and in the midst of everything else going on he or she listens to suggestions to make their transition whatever that may be easier and comfortable without being afraid of the change.

A great leader needs to be able to know how to focus on different things going but most importantly his followers.

I listen to Marshall Goldsmith this morning to a short conference regarding leadership and the panel was all great and stated some really great things regarding leadership which I truly enjoyed.
