Personal Accountability With A Smile--Luciano The Key Santini -- SSDE

Hello and good morning to all who continue to read and follow my blog. I really do appreciate the comments and the feedback that I receive from people who have new ideas and willing to make the change in their business or life. It is always a real pleasure to see a person make the change to better themselves. It is also the same when you see a business make the changes needed to make a better environment for staff.
Be assured that you do not need to be the business owner of anything to take on personal accountability just do it with a smile.

Humans make things more difficult then they really need to be!!!
In today's world that we live in we have more and more choice about everything from raising our children to going to the movies. My friends please realize that at the same time we seem to have more distractions as well.

It seems as if the more we want to learn something the more challenging it becomes. The reason behind this is really pretty simple. You see my friends when we look a new challenge or a new process we are not looking at the change we are looking at the why change if you will. When we look at the why change in today's times we involve all of the technology we have thus making things so much more difficult.

Many times we find ourselves in a room with a lock and we cannot seem to find the key to open it and get out. The same happens in our minds open them to new ideas see things from a different perspective and there you will find the key you need to grow.--Luciano The Key Santini

In your business it is the same thing. You see when I coach a business I ask many questions but the first one is what strategies are you using to keep your customers happy?. I find that that most of the time people try to keep up with using the hottest and the most innovative technological innovations out there. There is nothing wrong with that however if we just go back to the basics in customer service and get into what it was like 50 years ago before all the technology we can see that life was simple and yet businesses thrived.

Hey I am just like the next guy I have a current phone and I love technology heck!! my kids have better phones than I do however I ask them to turn them off when we are at the dinner table or in the car why? so they can also learn to communicate face to face and see and feel and learn about others and not confine themselves to a world with no basic skills. Once people in general have mastered their basic skills then we can move on to the next level of expertise.

Take a test with me learn the basics in anything and you will find this to be true in mostly anything including relationships with loved ones and friends, goals in life and in your business.Let us keep it easy for ourselves and everyone else.

Share this with as many friends as possible

Life says, “make good or make room, but don’t make excuses.”

In today’s management parlance, “Lead , follow, or get out of the way.” When you are actively working toward a goal, there are no failures; there are only degrees of success. Choose to be a leader. Take the initiative. When you are faced with a problem or a difficult decision, don’t waste endless hours agonizing over the solution. If you analyze the situation objectively, you will always find an answer. Don’t focus on the problem; focus on the solution. Then get into action. As W. Clement Stone has often said, “The emotions are not always subject to reason, but they are always subject to action!”

Feelings And Facts What Is The Difference-Luciano The Key Santini--SSDE

Remember Nothing Ever Happens Unless You Take That First Step-Luciano The Key Santini

I would like to dedicate the first paragraph to all the Veterans out there and to what MEMORIAL DAY means.

Memorial Day is a US federal holiday wherein the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces are remembered.[1] The holiday, which is celebrated every year on the final Monday of May,[2] was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War.

Graves at Arlington on Memorial Day.JPG

By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, particularly to honor those who have died in military service. Many volunteers place an American flag on each grave in national cemeteries.

Well I guess what I would like to say is thank you to all who continuously believe in my abilities to be able to change the world one mind at a time and businesses as well Thank you Thank you soooooo very much.
Today was a very special day because I was not able to create or write my blog this morning because I had to get up early and practice with my son for his playoff game against an undefeated team and guess what he was prepared when the time came.

The team won the game and so now they will play them one more time because the other team beat us two weeks ago.

Why am I talking about a kids game well because if stop and watch kids either playing at the playground or playing in one of these games we can learn things like: What it is to have fun?  What it is means to live in the moment? I find that most people once they grow up and start a job and a family they forget to live in the moment and forget what it is to have fun.

These kids were having fun and yet playing their hearts out because they knew that if they lost the season would be over. When I speak to employers about their staff or team I ask a basic question does your team realize that if they do not play as a whole they may loose the season. The employer always asks -I do not understand what you mean.

I state to them that if the staff does not understand the game of customer service then they will lose their paying customers and eventually y lose their jobs. You see if employees cannot have fum while doing their jobs then as an owner you need to take a real close look at this and find people that will have fun and enjoy your customers and each other.

Now let us talk about facts and feelings
I as leaders all the time how do you manage your people in this type of business and of course they never have the right answer because they themselves manage with feelings and make their daily choices with feelings ouch!!! I always think about the poor guy that no one likes because someone a long time ago started a rumor that he was a horrible employee therefore everyone treated him accordingly.

I would like you to think about this and please comment or send me your comments via linked in.
If you make choices based on feeling and emotions then you will always make the wrong choices because emotions will always get the better of us.

Make choices based on facts and not emotions. I hope this makes sense and if does not then let me know why not OK? Ok.

Do your job precisely as if you were your own boss, and sooner or later you will be.
The American system of free enterprise is based upon the premise that every individual may profit in proportion to his or her labors. In today’s hectic, highly competitive, global environment, however, you may feel that you are not adequately recognized and compensated for the contribution you make. The next time you feel overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated, remind yourself that you really are in business for yourself. Your product is you. Are you the kind of employee you would like to have if you were the boss?

When you are considering a difficult decision or when you are thinking about how to avoid an unpleasant assignment, ask yourself, “If this were my company, how would I handle this situation?” When your answer is that you would take precisely the same action you are considering as an employee, you are headed for bigger and better things. You will soon be the boss.

Share And Revisit Your Dreams With That Person In The Mirror-Luciano The Key Santini=SSDE

Good morning my friends and how are you doing on this beautiful morning. I hope that each one of you is having a great day. As for me well I am looking forward to the baseball game my 8 year old is playing today. If they win they will move on to the Championship next Saturday.

I ask all my clients and some friends to tell me their or better to share their dreams with me. I find that when asked this question out of the blue or during a conversation it freezes people up and I find it somewhat funny but not really. I say not really because if you think about the question it should something that we should be able to answer at a whim and yet we do not WHY?

I find that the key is to keep reminding ourselves of what we want out of life before it is to late. Well It is never to late but many people say that to me. They will start by saying such things like I am to old and my time has passed me by or I gave up my dreams a long time ago. My friends it makes me sick to my stomach when I hear friends close friends say this to me or make such negative comments.
The key to reaching your dreams is persistence.
I understand that we all have and will have now and in the future obstacles that may slow us down in reaching our long life goals however nothing is more devastating to the mind then simply giving up on our dreams and goals.

One must not be so critical of oneself though we are all the time but why? It is because we feel that we are the only ones that know the truth about us but in all reality we miss what we should really pay attention within ourselves and thus fall into a comfort zone and stay there forever ha forever until we hit rock bottom and then we see what we should have seen many many years before.

How can you judge others accurately if you have not learned to judge yourself accurately?
The ability to evaluate yourself and your performance objectively is critical to your relationships with others and will have an enormous impact upon the level of success you achieve during your lifetime. Unless you can honestly evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, how can you ever expect to improve your performance? You must determine where you are before you can develop a plan to get you where you would like to be.

If you were an independent, dispassionate observer, what advice would you give to yourself to improve your skills, your work habits, your interaction with others, and your contribution to the organization? Honesty about yourself is the first step toward self-improvement.

Do we as individuals face Crisis?

A n individuals crisis can be anything that can negatively effect your well being or the way you think of yourself and can be dangerous because it will stop on in your tracks and keep you from moving forward towards the goals you are trying to accomplish.. You will also find that at first the voices in the back of your head telling you cannot do it will in fact take over your mind if you allow this to continue.

Let Me Know What You Think!!!! Luciano The Key Santini-SSDE

Good morning my friends and how are we doing on this beautiful day. I was given a comment regarding my good mornings. The comment read that I should not use a good morning or afternoon because sometimes when they read my postings it was in the middle of the night. I agree and well I will still bid all my readers a good morning because that is when I am writing LOL!!.

I appreciate all who read and follow my blog. I understand we may live in different time zones but hey sometimes I have to wake up at 1:00 am to get on a a call and that is OK because sometimes if not most times it is worth it and so I hope that what I write is worth your time.Sometimes we need to talk about things that matter most in our lives and sometimes we just talk to talk about whatever is on our minds at that moment.

So let us talk about something that has been on my mind  for the last few hours. The thing is that I have an issue with profiling. An Examples of racial profiling are the use of race to determine which drivers to stop for minor traffic violations (commonly referred to as "driving while black or brown"), or the use of race to determine which pedestrians to search for illegal contraband.

I hate this and yet it happens all the time. I know from experience because it happened to me yes to me can you believe it!! Yes I can. You see I like to wear a beanie hat after work and I take off my suit jacket and tie and well I do not drive the top of the line automobile. I see this as an issue and also not a very good police officer model for kids.

I believe the next few paragraphs make a difference in people lives if they read the gems and implement them as well.

We all have within us the potential for greatness or for failure. Both possibilities are an innate part of our character. Whether we reach for the stars or plunge to the depths of despair depends in large measure on how we manage our positive and negative potential. It is doubtful that, if left unchecked, your virtues will rage out of control. Unfortunately, the reverse is not true about your faults. Left unattended, faults have a way of multiplying until they eventually choke out your good qualities. The surest way to control your faults is to attack them the moment they appear.Napoleon Hill

Living without a definite major purpose promises nothing but a scant living.

You may get by in life without a Definite Major Purpose, but you will never get ahead. Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement. Financial goals in particular should be specific, definite, and measurable. You should know what you plan to earn, by when, and how you plan to do so. The greatest advantage of financial security is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that, whatever challenges life brings, you are equipped to deal with them. You will be better at whatever you choose to do because you can focus on opportunities instead of struggling to eke out a living.

There are so many things that we can do to become better people in this life and perhaps even change the world. As I have stated many many time over and over that my journey is about trying to change the world one mind at a time. This bring one very special question to mind and that is; How aware are you of who you are? Let me explain awareness;
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
.Gilbert Ross says that Awareness is fundamental to all human activity. It is the basis of all our mental states and processes, creativity, perception, knowledge and culture. Everything starts from awareness. It is the portal between consciousness and the world around us.

The different phases of awareness:

You are aware of all that you do like when you walk around, prepare coffee, look for your keys, drive home, read, etc, there is always awareness going on otherwise you do not operate. However, many of these tasks happen on a subconscious level rather than on a conscious one.

When you start learning to ride a bike or drive a car, you are conscious about all your steps and movements. Once you learn the task, it starts becoming more automatic and subconscious. You are no longer conscious of every thing you do while you are driving but you are still aware at some level (obviously so, otherwise the roads would be a catastrophe everyday). This type of awareness however is not very thick and focused.

There is another level where your awareness is more focused.  For example, when you are interested in something, you start paying attention to it which means that you slightly focus your awareness on the object or event. It is all about understanding who you are from inside out and what is real and what is not.

Let me know what you think!!!!

The Bus Must Have A Great Driver To Reach The Final Destination -Luciano The Key Santini-SSDE

Good morning to all those who continue to support and believe in my abilities to change both your internal thinking and or your business operations to reach the potential you are capable of. Sometime I write things that perhaps do not make sense at first sight but you see it is not about what you see but it is about what you do not see and believe me my friends we all have these blind spots in both our business and in our minds.

One must try to be consistent always

Our thinking can cloud clear thinking and our eyes can lie to us.  If you have either a small or a larger organization what constitutes change and how and when does change happen? We will all have a different answer but let us start by saying that what Jim Collins said makes so much sense and here is what Mr. Collins stated" Get the right people on the bus,get the wrong people off the bus before you start to drive the bus".

Sometimes as owners or executives we need to make some major choices and those choices are not simple because you are not dealing with ghosts you are dealing with real human beings.

How do you make these changes well you have to take a real good look at who is driving the bus first of all.
Your drive must be someone who can deal with change real change because with real change comes a different type of responsibility. Different people coming on board different types of resistance  and the big one entitlement.

You are a bus driver the leader of this office-region entire organization . The bus is obviously the organization or company. The problems are ongoing the responsibility is to much what do you do!!! Well you have to get the bus moving but just moving you have to get it moving in the right direction. Then once you get it going you have to decide which direction and once you get it going the most important part of this change is who is going with you in order to get to the final destination and that my friends is the most important piece of this formula.

Many leaders begin driving their organization in what seems the right direction however while driving you find out that you have all the wrong passengers but the bus is moving HELLOOOO!!! a little to late well not really but now it will however become more difficult to make any changes now you will be dealing with the unions and or longtime employees who really were just on for the ride meaning people who did just enough to collect that paycheck OUCH!!!!!!

My friends change is ongoing phenomena and you have to have the right people in the right places why you might ask simply because when you have to make a right turn and some want to go to the left you r organization will be in trouble yes it is that simple. When you have the right people making that turn becomes so much easier because all will lean in the same direction.

You see when you have an executive who cannot make the right choices that executive needs to be removed. When that manager cannot make choices that manager needs to be removed not rewarded. When that employee cannot do his or her job that employee needs to be removed not rewarded. We all know and understand change is hard and we all know there is always fear involved and as owners or executive believe those are the reasons why people do not want to lean in the right direction. The truth is we believe that but what we believe is sometimes not the truth ooops! but a justification on the issues our organization is going thru.

I have heard that great leaders always have a long to do list but where is their stop doing list Oh YEA that right I said it where is your stop doing list;

A: Stop rewarding people for doing a half-@#$% job
B: Stop giving out satisfactory performance reviews when it is not even mediocre
C: Stop telling yourself it will get better and turn the other way.
D; Stop complaining and start doing the right thing.

And the list can go on and on and on.

When I teach clients this it is like such an eye opener but funny at the same time. I had a baseball game last weekend and one of my sons team was shot one player and they were going to forfeit the game and these were the 8-10 year old. I walked up to the coach and said hey coach have an extra team shirt and he said yea. I said alright then put in my 5 year old in he plays a little. The coach agreed to do so.

I walked up to my son who plays T-ball and told him you are the key to this game are you ready and he looked up at me and he said yes I am. He went up to bat and he looked at me and he smiled and as the ball was pitched to him he smacked that ball and he ran all the way to 2nd base.

The point that I am trying to make here is that sometimes we have to make some unrealistic choices and they are unrealistic only because we cannot see past of what seems real and difficult. The coach could not believe how well he could hit not once but three more times after that. The coach said to me not only could he hit but he was consistent. A true leader must try his or her best to be consistent always.

Politeness usually begins at home or it doesn’t begin at all.

Politeness to others is usually born out of respect for the individual, which you learn as a child. When you are treated with respect by other members of the family, you learn to respect them as well. The self-esteem that results from being recognized as a unique person by the people who matter most to you helps you develop the confidence necessary to succeed later in life. Politeness and consideration for others are habits that — once developed — usually stay with you for a lifetime.

While common courtesy may seem relatively insignificant in the grand scheme of things, it is a reflection of more basic values. More important, if you develop the habit of respecting others, you are likely to command respect from them.
