Business!!! We all want to be successful but what cost. I want you to really think about this because sometimes we do not realize what we are doing to ourselves and our families when we are so busy trying to reach something that perhaps is impossible in our outside world.

I want you to notice that I stated in our outside world and never mentioned our minds why?? I never stated our minds because we all have the potential to accomplish any business desire we may have and any goal that we want to reach we do.

As a business coach I try to teach owners to see where they are and where they want to be and then start a plan on how to get there. Easier said then done believe me because what happens when you start planning more issues are uncovered and OH BOY!!! it becomes a mess and that is OK it can be fixed it will take a little longer.

Lack of information is the main cause why people fail in life and in business and in accomplishing goals and dreams. Yes it takes desire and takes planning but most of all it takes knowing what you want and where you want to get.

Now I know there are many other issues that need to be looked at closely so one can reach a level of business success. Focus is a big one it really is one has to be focus on life and family first because if you do not focus on family if you have especially if kids are involved one needs to make sure they understand that there will be lots of long nights and missed dinners and perhaps some soccer or baseball games missed that will be part of the process.

 I believe that if there is an understanding though they may not get it at the very least get it out there and have them listen to you. There seems to be a big misconception that people can multi-tasking and I'm here to tell you that we are not made for that maybe and perhaps chewing gum and walking  only because we are so used to doing that since we we children and it takes no real talent.

Casual conversations don't have to be vapid conversations -- that would just be a waste of your time. So make sure any small talk you're forced to have today is very brief! Don't just yak about the weather or the latest sports scores -- cut to the chase about what is really on your mind right now. Not only will it interest the person you're talking to a lot more, it will also help you get a better handle on what has been bugging you. You have a lot to say, so why not say it already?

This little guy is one of my biggest inspirations of my life.  I have three more but he is something else. He knows when my days are not going so well and he always comes to me and says how much he loves me.

It is funny thing what we can learn from a child. Watch your children if you have any and see what you will learn. For starters you will learn how to live life now in the now!! because they will have fun when they play they will not give you a false sense of fun as we adults do daily.

They will cry when they want and need to cry they will not keep it in until we ask them to as we adults do all the time. Do you agree of course you do because you know it is true.

We can learn so much from our children believe me I know I have learned or been inspired for some of my best speeches that I have given from my children or children I see at the park. Watching them play with their parents or playing with my kids I sit back and watch how they truly know how to have fun and live life in the moment. Watch them and learn you will be surprised the lessons they can teach us adults.

Your progress in life begins in your own mind and ends in the same place.

Every great accomplishment began with the germ of an idea in the mind of a great person, then was shaped for practical usefulness and finally transformed into reality. Make your mind a fertile ground for ideas through constant study and learning, and condition through constant practice to discipline yourself to follow through on your good ideas.

 The most brilliant concept in the world is only a dream unless you take action. Even a mediocre idea that is put into practice is far more valuable than a flash of genius that languishes in a fallow, undisciplined mind. 

As a Business Coach I have to tell you that small businesses are being knocked down every day and not because of love or passion for what they do or are but because of lack of information. 

I see it every day and I try to help but they see only the cost and not the value form a Business coach. I explain to those that are afraid to spend a few dollars of what the outcome may be or could be if they do not get some help.

I have had business owners call me after they have decided to close their business but not their doors expecting a miracle and I ask one question. When did you decide to close your business and why? The answers are crazy. Example:

 My money is running out; My customers stopped coming in: My employees seem lost: These are just a few of them. My answer is if you have decided to close your business knowing that these issues existed prior to the choice you have made now the your expecting a miracle and I am not a miracle worker and I would be taking your money. 

You see when you know issues exist such as bad management running your business or bad customer service or simply bad  money management that is when you call someone to help restructure your areas of concern not when you have decided to close your doors. Think about that my friends and shoot me and email or a Facebook message and I will answer your questions.

Add more structure to your life, today, and you will see some amazing results. Any problem you've been struggling with will fade away once you get yourself more disciplined and better focused. Do you have a set bed time? If not, pick a time that will always give you at least 8 hours of sleep. How are you doing with your savings account? Set up a real budget that requires you to deposit a set amount each month -- it doesn't have to be a huge amount, it just has to be something. Letting yourself go is not wise.

I was asked to speak at the MLK anniversary of the I have a Dream Speech and there was so many people with questions about life and our youth and I was like WOW this is insane, Many of the speakers spoke about why there is such a struggle with them reaching their goals and dreams.

When it was my turn to speak I spoke about the realities of life and the reason that most people struggle is not because they want to  but because they do not have any idea of how life u=in general works. I explained that if you as a person do not have any idea how life works and you are not prepared then you will struggle then i was asked to explain deeper and of course I did.

I explained that we must have an understanding about life and know that stuff happens and when it does we were not able to control it. I explained that the trick is to know and understand that there will be tines when obstacles and different situation s will come our way. The question then becomes how do we react to it whatever that situation or issue may be.

Things will happen and how we react will determine the outcome. We need to understand if we were at fault and if we are but perhaps forgot what we did then deal with it and admit fault and take responsibility.
You see sometimes we do things and forget them because we simply decided that it was not important to deal with it at the time and so we take the easy way out MMMMM. Think about that when you do that there will always be a consequence perhaps not immediate but it will come.
 
I love and have studied Napoleon Hill for over 14 years and the wisdom from this man is incredible.

Being concise is extremely important today, because it will help you get to the heart of the matter without wasting any one's time (including you own). So instead of going on and on when you're asking for something, cut to the chase. Just ask for what you want. If you deserve something, you will get it. And if you don't, you won't. If it's 'no,' it's not the answer you want to hear, but at least you will know faster -- and can move on to bigger and better things sooner.

Well now to business and would like to start with somewhat of an idea for all around the world to realize this quote because I have to tell you that a loners journey is never easy instead you will find yourself in many difficult times. 

You must always look for help from others because you will need them whoever you decide to find to help you on your journey.

In life there will always be issues and we will always make mistakes the thing to learn is to simply make sure that we learn from our mistakes and move forward. Most people will give up because they made a bad mistake that for example cost them all their money and well now it is over. 

I tell you learn and move learn and move forward into the future because if you become stale then your whole life will be one giant door stop meaning you have put your life on hold and will never move forward.

What needs to happen now is to sit and relax your mind and find what it is that you want to accomplish, Sit relax and start a plan as small as it may be start it and do it now!!!! START THE PLAN

In business I find that when I start to train a small business owner he is still in the employee mentality. Why is that? Well because the owner believes that he/she are the only ones that can run the business efficiently and that they are the only ones who understand their customers.This is the main issue that I find. 

When I start to train the techniques to let go and let someone else start the journey they begin to worry and think negatively and this can become an issue if they decide not to continue the training. The thing is to take a good look at the people that you may have employed and watch them and usually there is at least one individual who excels more then the others.

This person he/she will be the one that you need to start teaching and we start training him/her and assist them with the journey. This will be the one to allow to run your business so that you have the freedom to get out and create ore business for your establishment and then it will slowly begin to grow.

You see me there with the beanie with the white stripe. Many people would say to me that I would be unable to run fast with the younger crowds and of course I ignore them and I laugh at those naysayers.

In business is the same kind of with the difference that you have to know and understand your business and your competitors and the figure out what ways to reach your clients and give them value. I love this quote because it places thought into the heart. It  makes you think and at the same time creates emotion. You see in life we need to create an emotion towards our goals and the end result. I have an example for a while now I had been working on a DVD that I wanted to create and finally it is completed;

It is hard work and sometime that is all we have to offer the world but at the same time the world sometimes needs to see how hard it is to conquer it. You see in our minds sometimes we get caught up with life and the chaos that comes with it daily. My friends I can tell you that many times in my life I wanted to just give up on my dreams but in the back of my mind the thought of what if?

In life we find that we cannot accomplish anything alone and sometime it takes a life time to figure that out and then of course people just give up not knowing that they can start fresh again and again. I say never ever give up on your dreams because sometimes that is all we have to drive our emotions to the end result in spite of all the naysayers and those that do not see past their arms length.

Today we will be talking strictly about business and perhaps a bit on life coaching you see I have found that most small business owners believe what they believe and understand because they think they understand what they believe to be true and in all actuality they are failing in their own mind.

 I have found that when you as a business owner believes you know all there is about your business you are really setting yourself for failure.

You must have an understanding of your business but always learning about your business and when you stop learning say about your competition or your geographical area or what type of customers you have then you are not only failing your customers which are the blood of your business but you are failing yourself as a person and a part of the community.

The other thing that I have noticed is that business owners are afraid to spend money on their business. I can truly understand if you do not have a need then is absolutely fine and great but if there is a need to help out or get a better understanding of your staff, customers or your self on how you are operating your business then ask for help bring someone to assist you.

People do take marketing puffery seriously, even though logically they shouldn’t. They’ll buy bottled water that they know, intellectually, comes from municipal tap water that’s been created via reverse osmosis. 

They buy into claims that the water is especially refreshing (all water is refreshing) or that it’s bottled at the source (in this case, the “source” is municipal water) or that it’s “expertly designed water” (does it need any further design than the original H2O formula we’ve been using for so long?? Apparently, yes.). That’s why Dasani’s website focuses not on the water, but on the bottle the water comes in: 30% plant material, 100% recyclable.

Today is one of those days when I am really looking forward to seeing my son who left for a week to a camp and well I'm not used to sending my kids off like that even though I understand that it is a great learning experience so I am OK with that. 

You see sometimes we have to encourage those that are afraid to try new things even I find myself stuck and that is when I need to step back and make some changes in my life. 

Sometimes making changes can be difficult because sometimes you have to let go of old habits and learn new ones and that can be hard in the mind due to past experiences or simply learned behaviors.

As a life coach I try to help people see life from different perspectives and challenge them to find out who they are and what it is that they want to accomplish in life.

As a business coach I do the same thing but from a business perspective. Business is a little more tricky and one has to really see and know your competitors and figure out where your business is right now and what needs to happen to move it forward and yes there are many techniques to teach and learn from knowing your competition and to knowing and understanding the people that work for you.

 This show was about our kids and how to motivate them. Our kids pick up on what we do as adults especially when we ourselves are dealing with difficult times. So the question how do we motivate them when we cannot motivate ourselves? Well it is not an easy task but it can be done. You see you have to be able to take time to listen to them and look intresed but in all reality be really intrested and be genuine about it. You must be patient with them as well.

You need to teach them responsibility and accountability. You must show them how to do that so they can use these skills in real life as they grow up. You also need to teach them the difference between right and wrong.

The Motivation Key On Life And Moments In The Now

Hello friends how are we doing on this beautiful Saturday morning. I am sure it is Sunday or perhaps Monday somewhere around the world or perhaps some other universe who knows. Well today has been a wonderful day so far. 

This past week I have had the opportunity to really take a look at my life and find out what has been happening. What do I mean well for starters you would think that a professional and motivational speaker never needs motivation and I will be the first to tell you that we are human as well just like you and sometimes we to need that push so we can also accomplish our goals and dreams.

I was having one of those weeks you know what I am talking about a week where everything seems to be going wrong and it does. Yes I had one of those weeks and then it hit me what I always teach and tell people when facilitating a seminar. What is it that motivates you from the inside out and never from the outside in because you will only find temporary fixes when you look outside of you for motivation.

I was watching my kids play outside and noticed my middle son talking to a friend and he was talking about how I had woke him up last Saturday and took a walk with him to watch the sunrise with me and how he though it had been really cool and to ask his dad to do the same. At that point I realized that life is not always about money but about moments just like that one and I was there to see it.

Business always a touchy issue with small business owners why? Because most of the time they do not understand their customers

I found this great article on what I teach and do to assist my clients and what it means to bring in an experienced business coach to help you see your business from a different perspective.

Over the past three years, four-fifths of America’s fastest growing companies have initiated important new programs aimed at customer expansion, customer retention, and/or customer profitability. And, as if this significant involvement were not enough, a majority is planning to either greatly enhance an existing customer initiative, or launch a new one over the next 12 months. 

There is an important payoff to this reaffirmation: those planning new customer-focused programs have achieved 46 percent faster revenue growth than their peers over the past five years, and are projecting 35 percent higher growth over the next 12 months. These are highlights of the latest PricewaterhouseCoopers "Trendsetter Barometer," released recently.

"Companies often build relationships with the wrong customers—or try to structure relationships with the right customers, but using the wrong capabilities," notes PricewaterhouseCoopers' Paul Gulbin, a director specializing in customer-related issues, based in New York. 

"Instead of attempting to provide full service to all, businesses can operate more profitably by focusing on products and services that relate to specific customer segments. Businesses should always be conscious of, and fine-tuning the alignment between sales, service channels, and sub-channels. And they also need to do something about value-destroying customers, from which the company does not make an acceptable margin."
