Seizing The Opportunity Of Life Or Business-Luciano The Key Santini-SSDE

Good morning everyone and of course it is the weekend and I was wondering how all my readers and followers are doing on this beautiful day. In case you wonder why I always start my blog with a good morning it is because it is morning when I write and yes of course I know that it is evening in some parts of the world so I will say good evening to you.

 It is always a real pleasure to write for you  because it is something that I truly enjoy and of course the most important thing is because I love to hear from people around the world on the their perspective and allows me to see things from a different point of view.



I wrote a short article asking for comments and so I will write here once again:





I had stated last week that sometimes find themselves caught in a triangle between their work family and friends and well a situation such as that can be pretty difficult to work out where everyone stays happy and well the truth of the matter becomes what is most important to you now!!! not in the future but in the now.

You see most people do not live in the now they worry about tomorrow to much when tomorrow is 24 hours away and my question is why worry? You see there is no way of knowing tomorrow. We all know the name of the day that follows but you can only predict what the day will bring but you will never know what will happy only because it is like playing the lottery.


BUSINESS
Let us speak a bit about organizations and businesses today. Organizations and businesses are finding that change happens so fast but what they both seem to miss the boat is that they miss the opportunities for growth.


 I find that organizations pretend to understand the rapid changes on the outside but never realize the changes within their businesses or organizations thus becomes a struggle to manage It takes a very skilled leader to be able not only to see the changes outside of the organization but to be able to see the changes within and be able to bring both the outside and mesh with the inside to make it malleable and make it work.

The strength to make change happen and have your clients and staff believe in the vision of any strategic plan is to teach goal intentions. This was a paper we had to read while in college for business class and was an eye opener. It is all about understanding who you are as a leader and yes while because of life and chaos sometimes we as individuals are not in positions to make the changes and if you try you might get knocked down simply because others do not understand change.This process is defined as by;

Goal intentions can be defined as the instructions 
that people give themselves to perform particular
 behaviors or to achieve certain desired outcomes.
The question becomes how do you teach this to staff 
members in organizations so they can follow you as 
their leader and have high expectations of themselves

Why do people often fail to translate goal intentions into 
goal attainment? According to the model of action 
phases (Heckhausen & Gollwitzer, 1987), forming an intention
 to pursue a particular goal is only the first step on the 
path to goal attainment; to attain the goal the person must 
also effectively regulate actual striving for the goal 
(i.e., implement their goal intention successfully). 
Realizing one’s goal intentions can be difficult because people often confront problems en route to goal attainment 
(Gollwitzer & Sheeran, 2006). In the context of health goals, two self-regulatory problems appear to offer the greatest challenges to effective goal striving—failing to get started, and getting derailed along the way.Failing to Get Started with Goal Striving Remembering to act. Three factors seem to be involved in failures to get started with goal striving. 
The first problem is remembering to act, and is encapsulated
by the title of a recent paper by Einstein, McDaniel
and colleagues, “forgetting of intentions in demanding situations
is rapid” 
(Einstein, McDaniel, Williford, Pagan, & Dismukes,
2003). That is, dealing with many things at once or being engrossed in a particular task make it difficult to remember to act on one’s goal intention. Indeed, people spontaneously explain their failures to enact their intentions in terms of‘forgetting’ (e.g., 70% of participants who intended to but did not perform breast self-examination. 
Another explanation; Orbell, Hodgkins, & Sheeran, 1997).
Seizing an opportune moment to act. Even if one remembers 
to act, there is a second problem that needs to
be solved, namely, seizing an opportune moment to act
This problem is especially acute when people are faced
with tight deadlines or small windows of opportunity. 
These circumstances, people may fail to initiate goal striving because they do not notice that a good time to get started has arrived or because they are unsure about how they should act when the opportunity presents itself. 
For instance, Sheeran and Orbell (2000) found that 31% of a sample of women who were invited to attend for cervical cancer screening failed to seize this opportunity (by making the necessary appointment) despite strong intentions to be screened (M = 4.60 on a 1-5
scale).

"Never let the future scare you simply because you cannot see it but be prepared"-Luciano The Key Santini SSDE


 I find that almost every business owner or manager that I train asks the same question: How do I motivate my people so that they can have fun at work and enjoy what they do?

Performance in the workplace and how do we as leaders and managers give our staff members the motivation and the feeling that leaders do care for their well being, One way is by authentically supporting them in areas that contribute to their overall well-being—are based on a set of scientifically validated strategies and tactics and being truthful and realistic with no lies but the truth.

 Organizations both private and non-profit that continuously develop strategies for the well-being of their employees have reduced turnover, achieved greater revenue, and gained higher profits  and creates greater productivity than those that do not.
 
 Creative self-efficacy relates to a person’s confidence in their ability to think outside the box or outside their comfort zone A person’s creative confidence is important because it directly influences the motivation and ability of a person to get stuck into creative problem-solving tasks.




 Resilience is all about a person’s psychological ability to work out a solution for a stressful situation. People who are high in resilience bounce back easily from disappointments and failures, and can remain optimistic when things are not going their way. I find that people with high resilience are deep thinkers and always looking for the solution needed to solve any issue. Being able to bounce back from rejections is critical to maintaining creativity and enthusiasm.
 
 Opportunity has a queer way of stalking the person who can recognize it and is ready to embrace it.

It is a curious quirk of human nature that some people can see opportunities, while others only see problems. When you train your mind to seek out opportunities, you will find that every day literally presents you with more opportunities than you can take advantage of. They will be all around you. Instead of your seeking opportunities, they will seek you out. Your biggest problem will be choosing the best ones. 

 The first step in making sure you are ready to recognize opportunities when they occur is to make sure you have a clear understanding of your own core competencies. Realistically assess your strengths and weaknesses as though you were reviewing the credentials of a total stranger. 

Identify what areas you’re best in and those where you need improvement. Work on your weaknesses and build upon your strengths so that when you recognize opportunities you are prepared to capitalize upon them.

Someone asked me to define truth and of course I did:


You see my friends the truth can be eye opening if you see it but if you do not see the truth then continue to live in lies. The issue is this!! That as individuals we know whether we like or not know when the truth is being told to us and you know it because something inside of you feels at ease or uneasy. The lies are complicated because a lie is in between the truth and not the truth but a perception of what was stated or seen.


Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius (who spent 17 years of a 19-year reign at war) with the simple line:

“The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”

I would seriously ask all my readers to really take some time and think about this quote and tell me what it really means to you




I have dream are words embedded deeply in our minds and you see my friends we all have dreams the real question is: Are we going to go for it and realize them! Change your environment change your life-Luciano The Key Santini SSDE


 Before I start saying anything I want to wish all the Fathers in the world-Happy Fathers Day.  What is fathers day well let us see: For me it is the inspiration that I get from them every day.
From Wikipedia Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Many countries celebrate it on the third Sunday of June, though it is also celebrated widely on other days. Father's Day was created to complement Mother's Day, a celebration that honors mothers and motherhood.



Good morning everyone and here we are again on a another day before Fathers Day and for some another year older ooohhh did I say something wrong OK OK another year wiser. I sometimes wonder where time has gone people have asked me during a coaching session on life and so of course I must ask questions as well.



The first question I ask is: What kind of people have you surrounded yourself with in the past year? What does that matter they ask? Let just say to all of you that it matters a whole lot.Then I say if you feel that your life in the last year has not been productive you really need to take a real close look at who you have been hanging out with. 

If you have been surrounded by people who have messed up live the tell me: Do you really expect your life to be good? It is human nature that it is virtually impossible for one individual to have a real positive influence upon people with a  negative attitude. Normally it is the reverse. You cannot keep up  a positive, productive attitude if you spend all your time with negative people.

People who have messed up lives will always find a way to blame others for their misfortunes . I always tell people to stay away from negative people and if you are at work and you have to work with these type of people and I know you have some in your company simply do your job and speak to them only about work and never involve yourselves with their negative conversations. If you do get caught up be able to recognize it and walk away because if you stay and get caught up you will eventually find that you will walk away with a tight stomach feeling down.

I also find people will do just about anything to stay in their comfort place and always afraid to change whether life or work they resist !! One must try to do better by learning how to discipline ones mind. When you learn to take accountability seriously and discipline for the mind you will be able to see the picture.

We all have regrets at one point or another but we must learn from those regrets. We will only have regrets if we do not try to change. We must learn to adapt and stop resisting change.One will always be measured by results in real life and at work though no one will tell you to your face you are always measured by results only.Sometime we just need to be a little more careful then we we normally are to avoid harmful regrets.

Every step we take in our lives will take on a new version of who we are or who we will become. The quality of our friends and who we surround ourselves with will give us a great picture of our future.The Law of Acceptability: Whatever becomes acceptable becomes inevitable-good or bad.

Always Speak the truth no matter what. Many people will play the political game and always at one point the truth will show itself and guess what happens next? People will loose credibility and respect form others.

We all want to be great and not fail at whatever we are trying to accomplish right!! But the truth is and always will be the same thing over and over--No one wants to do the work!! It will take hard work to reach a goal!! There are many reasons for this but remember that there is a reason why only a few groups reach greatness because they do the work.

Create a fine reputation for the other people to live by--Luciano The Key Santini--SSDE


Good morning to all my followers and to all who continue to believe in what I write on this journey changing the world one mind at a time.

Today I am going to talk about how to become a friendlier person. Before I do that though I would like to say that sometimes we meet people and they are just in a bad mood and you well just want to punch them in the throat yea!! I know you have met those people. I know I have met many many in my life and well I just ignore them and delete them from my path. I simply walk away and smile but never criticize and never condemn or complain about them.

If I choose to try to help them and get them in the right track this is what I do. I try to talk to them and the try to figure out what it is that makes them angry and try to arouse something that they will appreciate more then I. One thing to always remember is that your name is the the best thing that you will hear and satisfy any feeling or emotion within. I try to be the best listener possible and then encourage the other person to talk to me about them. 

Once they do that I know what their interests are and so I begin the journey with them.Another very important thing to know and understand is that you must try to make them important and let them know that their fears and concerns can be worked out.


I have known many business owners or staff members argue over a quarter whether taxes or shortage. I have seen full on arguments. I want to laugh but really it is not funny because I think about the issue and then I think about what this poor persons life outside of the business or job is really like and guess what it is pretty scary!!

Sometimes and this happens so much more in larger organizations with people and their bosses. WHAT!! what do I mean ? Well how many times if a person has lost their job or is in a job that they love but has greater skill sets then their bosses and well they have to make them feel that any idea that comes your way to better the team or the organization came from them and yes they take all the credit. 
 


Well I guess if you want to promote then deal with it and if not we all have choices my friends we all have the choice to either do it or leave it!!.

I have known this next tip since my mentor explained it to me. He said when someone talks down to you or makes a mistake do not ignore them but call attention to their mistake indirectly and always let the other person save face.




The other thing that I have learned is to create a fine reputation for the other person to live by. I fine that some leaders who think they are leaders will ruin a person reputation because they feel intimidated by a persons skill sets.

As a leader you must learn to overcome worry. Always ask yourself what is the worst possible thing that can happen? Always try to improve the worst scenarios. When you try to analyze worry get all the facts! 
What is the problem?
What are the causes of the issue?
What are the possible solutions?
What is the best possible solution?




Do not worry about the past because the past is gone and should either be forgotten or learn to live with past mistakes.Do not try to imitate others and try to profit from your losses and the last thing is create happiness for other people.

Remember that unjust criticism is usually a disguised compliment and analyze your own mistakes and criticize yourself. Do some critical thinking. Critical thinking is reasonable then there is reflective thinking that is focused on deciding what to believe or do.


Critical thinking is thinking about your thinking and while you are thinking in order to make your thinking better.You have to remember that critical thinking at the heart is thinking about real problems not theoretical problems and not coming up with unreal solutions but real solutions. The essence  of critical thinking comes from real problems and not artificial ones.
