I am not a mental specialist, nor would I ever claim to be. However, I have seen firsthand the effects of gaslighting and the damage it can cause. Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person or group makes someone question their own sanity, memory, or perception. It is an abuse that can be used by so-called leaders to gain power and control over their victims.

I have experienced gaslighting in my life, and I can attest to the profound impact it can have. It can leave you feeling confused, powerless, and isolated. It can erode your sense of self-worth and self-esteem, and it can make you doubt your own judgement and decisions. It can even lead to depression and anxiety.

I believe that if everyone was honest about their experiences with gaslighting, we would all have something to say. It is important to recognize the signs of gaslighting, so that we can take steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones. It is also essential to create an environment where we can talk openly and honestly about our experiences, so that we can support each other and help each other heal.

True leadership is an essential skill in today's world. With so many incompetent leaders in the world, it is important to differentiate between true leadership and those who rely on outdated tactics and theories.

Gaslighting is a common tactic used by those who lack true leadership skills. This involves manipulating someone's perception of reality in order to gain power and control. It is a form of psychological abuse that is damaging to both the leader and the followers. True leaders will never resort to such tactics, as it is not an effective way to lead.

Leadership theories that are no longer applicable in today's world are also something to be aware of. Many theories that were once popular are now outdated and no longer relevant. True leaders must be able to recognize these theories and understand how they no longer apply in the current environment. They must also be able to adapt their leadership style to the changing times.

Understanding true leadership is key to navigating through all the so-called leaders in the world. It is important to recognize those who rely on outdated tactics and theories to differentiate between true leadership and those who lack the skills and knowledge to be successful. By being aware of these tactics and theories, a person can ensure that they are not taken advantage of and can be successful in their leadership roles.

The difference between wanna-be leaders and true leaders is the following.

The difference between wanna-be leaders and true leaders is the following. Wanna-be leaders are those who seek power, prestige, and status, but lack the necessary skills and qualities to lead effectively. They may be charismatic and persuasive, but lack the emotional intelligence and empathy necessary to inspire and motivate others. True leaders, on the other hand, have the skills and qualities necessary to lead effectively. They are able to create a vision and inspire others to follow it. They possess emotional intelligence and empathy and are able to motivate and empower their team members.

True leaders are also able to make tough decisions and take responsibility for their decisions. They are able to delegate tasks and hold their team members accountable. They are also able to recognize and reward good work, and are willing to learn from their mistakes. Finally, genuine leaders are able to build trust and foster collaboration among their team members.

In conclusion, the difference between wanna-be leaders and true leaders is clear. Do you want to be a great leader or just a wanna-be ? #team #leaders #empathy #emotionalintelligence #collaboration

Things to think about when you mentor someone!!

Things to think about when you mentor someone!!

Sometimes it seems like the main source of benefits in a mentorship is for the mentee, but nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is, the mentor can be the one who gets more out of the relationship. Let's look at a few of the benefits of being a mentor.
 Makes Everything Feel New Again
It's kind of like watching a child play in a park. You learn everything new again from their fresh view of life. Butterflies look more colorful, flowers smell better, and everything is a lot more fun. The same applies if you're a mentor for an up-and-coming star in your company, or any company. It's fun to watch them learn and grow, and it feels good to see.
 Improves Job Satisfaction
Mentorships can help you avoid job boredom in your job. You'll feel a lot more satisfied with your job when you realize that someone else would love your job and are in fact trying to become who you are. It feels great that someone will someday take over where you left off.
 Encourages Self-Reflection
When you work with someone who is hungry, it can help you reflect on yourself and what you're doing in your career. Are you really doing enough? How well do you know yourself? This relationship will help you think about these factors.
 Builds More Professional Relationships
When you start working with mentees, you're going to build a network of people who like you, know you, and trust you - even when they move on to a new corporation or start a new business. They're going to think of you, recommend you, and want to keep working with you in some way.
 Increases Peer Recognition
When you are a mentor for others and take care in your mentorships, your peers will respect you for doing it and think of you when it comes to leadership. They're going to see you as more of a leader than others, and that can pay off for you.
 Enhances Learning and Development
When you're trying to help someone else see their learning deficiencies and improve upon them, you're going to notice yours more too. You're going to want to be a good example by taking more classes, going to seminars, and improving your own development.
 Grows Your Network

For every mentee you work with, your network is going to grow by not just one but probably five to ten people due to the people you'll meet through them, and the people you'll meet for them when you look for people to help them.
If you want to garner these benefits of being a mentor, it's important to seek to be a great mentor by learning about the skills needed, taking your mentorships seriously, and putting a lot into it. You get out of it what you put into it, just like everything else in life. #leadership #EVAN STYLE #career #people #leader #work #network

Empowerment

Hello to all my followers and friends,

Empowering others. To some leaders who decide on micromanagement over autonomy and self-management, those are grimy words and they will have a difficult understanding of the concept. But regardless of how outstanding a concept or how professional and skilled the entrepreneur, every successful enterprise is predicated on the efforts of committed personnel.
All who are seeking success will eventually want to find top-notch human beings and empower them to enforce their imaginative and prescient.
With all the theories circulating around powerful control, how can you ensure that you’ve adopted a style and approach so one can guide and hold on to an individual's skills?
You will not be able to do so! Entrepreneurs want more than an incredible concept –a leader who wants to be tremendous and successful must also become a leader of the people he or she strives to lead. # #leadership #humanbeings #emotionalquotient #transformationalleadership #emotionalinteligence #leadershipdevelopment #leadershipdevelopment #humanbeing #transformationalchange

What Is Leadership?

What Is Leadership? "Leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality," Warren Bennis once stated. Great leaders are frequently credited with possessing excessive social intelligence, a zest for change, and above all, the capacity to set their points of interest on the matters that actually benefit attention. But those are ideal capabilities for everybody else, too. It is the duty of leaders to boost a vision for the people and establishments they guide. They need to set up what matters and explain why, so they can set direction, and inspire others. But leadership does not rely on one’s title, seniority, or capability to exert power. Leaders can emerge at any degree if they can cultivate a want in those with whom they collaborate to try towards a common goal, which can be carried out efficiently thru any variety of approaches. And recent research on leadership capabilities confirms the increasing importance of internal resources such as self-awareness and self-mastery.

Coercive Abuse And The Breakdown

I believe leadership should be something advertised for what it really is which is someone who treats people with respect, dignity, and values another human being and not just word is spoken which means nothing at the end of the day. Here’s a sad but plain fact: abuse, in all its glory, styles and sizes, it is everywhere. In fact, it has even emerged as part of our way of existence that many have accepted it for what it is: a gross disrespect for one's character.
This is real! Do something bout it!
